Sweet & Spicy Nuts aka ‘Crack Nuts’

2013-06-11 21.15.05I originally named these “Sweet & Spicy Nuts” but after my first bite I decided they are “Crack Nuts.” They have cinnamon, nutmeg, and are so yummy. Gluten free and low carb, of course!

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp Xylo Sweet (sweetener)
  • 2 Tbsp Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Free syrup

Melt the butter and mix these ingredients together and then add….

  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup almonds

Spread out this yummy concoction on a baking sheet and sprinkle with a bit more Xylo sweet (sweetener) and cook at 350 for about 10 minutes. Stir and cook for about 5 minutes more. I am horrible about the timing. I usually do it until it looks (and smells) right, so the times may vary. I cooked mine until they started carmelizing and ohhhhh so good!

Let cool on the counter for about 20 to 30 minutes. Don’t steal any pieces, you will burn your tongue!
